As President of the National Guard Youth Foundation, Brig. Gen. Allyson R. Solomon’s, USAF (Ret.) reports to the Board of Directors and oversees all operations and leadership of NGYF and staff, including planning, budgets and revenue, program performance, and National Guard, state, and federal relationships. Prior to joining the Foundation as its President, Ms. Solomon served as the Assistant Adjutant General of the Maryland National Guard. She is the first woman and African American to earn the rank of General and become Assistant Adjutant General for the Maryland Air National Guard. Ms. Solomon holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Management from Loyola College and a Master of Arts degree in Public Administration from Auburn University. Ms. Solomon remains active in her sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha, and volunteers with charities that provide economic and financial guidance to women and provide education to those who are underserved.
Carol Henry is an accomplished Database Manager with more than 25 years of professional experience, and 10 years experience in combining technical and business solutions to support overall nonprofit goals. She has previously held multiple positions with Catholic Relief Services including Database Coordinator, Fulfillment Coordinator and Payroll Coordinator. Carol’s favorite hobbies include reading for leisure and shopping.
