GILBERT — 16 year old Cadet Corbin Lee Auville, son of Leonard and Kathrn Auville of Gilbert, has completed the requirements for graduation at the Mountaineer ChalleNGe Academy and has earned his high school diploma through Mingo Central High School. Cadet Auville is one of 131 graduates from a total of 43 other counties in West Virginia. The 2-14 class is the 43rd class to complete this WV National Guard Program. On Dec 12, 2014, commencement exercises were held at the Craig Civic Center in Kingwood, WV where James A. Hoyer gave the commencement address and congratulated the Cadets.

While in attendance at the Academy, Cadet Auville of Platoon 1 was recognized for receiving the Overall Most Improved, Instructor’s List, Honor’s List, Mentorship Award, as well as obtaining the six Individual Values Recognition Ribbons. Cadet Auville also participated in the Presidential Physical Fitness Program.
